Merry Christmas to you all. It is Christmas morning and I am the only one awake. I am really excited for Hudsen and Clarke to see what Santa has brought them but they seem to want to sleep in this morning. :) So I thought since I can't go back to sleep why not get caught up on our blog. Every year on the Monday before Christmas Grandma and Dougpa take us to Magic Mountain. This is one of the many traditions that we have and enjoy. It is always so nice cause there is never anybody there and we get to walk on all the rides. Thank you Grandma & Dougpa we had so much fun!!!
This is our ugly ginger bread house. For some reason our roof kept sliding off. Oh well! The kids loved it and had so much fun eating all the candy while they worked on it. Oh yah, I don't have a lot of your addresses. If you would like a Christmas card from us, send me your address at email@example.com .
Clarkes just said, Dear Santa at the top and then he scribbled every where then at the bottom it said Love, Clarke.
Here is Hudsen's letter, These are her exact words. We thought it was a little rude, I tried convincing her to at least add in that she was a good girl this year, but she didn't want to. She liked her letter the way it was.
Hey Santa, Can you bring a Barbie truck for me? And some Belle dress ups or just lots of dress ups. Love Hudsen
She keeps getting excited about the Barbie Truck. She has been talking about it for a while now. I keep explaining to her that we don't always get what is on our list and that the Barbie truck might be too big for Santa to fit down our chimney. So we will see how goes. :)
Thanksgiving was great, we went up to Hesperia, to Rey & Mel's house. This was the first Thanksgiving for Mel and I not to have a Mom or Mother in-law around, so all the cooking was left to the two of us and I think we pulled it off. It was a yummy little feast and so much fun hanging out and visiting. Thanks Rey & Mel, we totally miss you guys.
Yay!! We moved and I'm loving it. Friday morning I left the house at 4:50 to do a little holiday shopping and got home and moved for the remainder of the day. I got sick which is very rare for me. I think I wore myself out. It totally stunk not feeling well so that I couldn't get stuff put away. We are still in Santa Clarita but not in our old ghetto apartment. For those of you who have been there you know what I mean. I really am going to miss the corn man and the lunch/produce truck. That was pretty cool. :) Thank you to all that helped with the move, you are all amazing.
Saturday, Ryan took Hudsen on a date to go see Madagascar with the Baldrees. It was so cute to see them as they got ready. She was so excited. Our kids love their one on one time and I think it is so fun and important to have that. Hudsen had brought her purse and wallet with her and she had about a total of $1.50 with her. She kept telling Ryan on the way there that she was going to pay for the movie, popcorn and candy. That's my girl! :)
We were at Walmart today and Clarke was being as crazy as ever. I think I put his shorts back on him a total of 3 times in the hour that we were there. I don't know were he gets all his energy from, Ryan and I were pretty mellow kids. Hudsen was good, she started to quiet down and then all of a sudden I look over and she is asleep. I had my camera in my purse so I had to take pictures.
Hudsen kept asking us if she could get her hair cut. The last time I took her, I chickened out and just had the lady give her a trim. But this time it really happened, the man cut about 3 1/2 inches. She absolutely loves it and keeps saying that we look like twins. :) I was really sad that she lost a lot of her tight curls but it still is a little curly and she looks as pretty as ever.
Last night was great, I went out with a bunch of girlfriends to go see the 10:30 showing of Twilight. I liked the movie even though it was kind of cheesy. We kept laughing through a lot of it. I of course think the book was a whole lot better but it was fun to go see and have a night out with the girls. I bet for those who hadn't read the books probably thought it was pretty weird. Seriously, if you haven't started reading these books, read them you will love them even if you are a boy. When I first saw the previews for the movie I was totally disappointed in the Edward they had chosen. But after seeing the movie I changed my mind, I think he looked great and did an awesome job. Thank you babe, for watching the kids. You are the greatest!
This is Clarke yelling "Mom Mom!", and pointing at Hudsen.
Hudsensleeping in Clarke's crib
Clarke smiling and saying cheese for Mommy. I had to hurry and put his diaper and shorts back on. I wanted to keep this G rated.
Every Sunday after church, we usually all eat a quick bite and then all go down for a nap. I was worried Clarke wouldn't take a nap at home because he fell asleep at Church for a good 45 Minutes. So after we ate, I laid the kids down in their beds and joined Ryan for a nice nap. I fell asleep so fast but was very soon awakened by Clarke yelling, "Mom!!! Mom!!!" I was hoping he would stop and go to sleep, but after about 5 minutes I decided to go check on him. I walked in their room to find a sheet, pillow and blankets on the floor and Hudsen and Clarke both in the crib. Hudsen asleep and Clarke diaper less. I guess they had both been playing and Clarke decided to yell for me once Hudsen his playing buddy fell asleep.
Halloween was a great night. We went out Trick or Treating with a lot of good friends from our ward. My camera was being really dumb so I didn't get a whole lot of pictures and, the ones I did get are pretty fuzzy.
Hudsen of course had fun being with her friends but didn't enjoy the whole Trick or Treating experience as much as her brother. She really wanted to wear her glass slipper high heals. So after about 10 houses she was done and just wanted to sit in the stroller and rest because her feet hurt. She was also a little bit scared of some of the scary costumes and was totally happy just watching her brother and all her friends go and get candy. :) Then when we were almost done she decided to change into her comfortable shoes and went back out with her friends to get lots of yummy candy.
Clarke loved Trick or Treating. I tried to teach him, "Trick or Treat" But he could only say "treat". When we actually got to someones door he wouldn't say anything, he would just hold out his bucket and then say day two (thank you). :) After someone had put candy in his bucket he wanted to eat that piece of candy right away. So we ended up just giving him a lollipop and taking the rest away or he probably would have eaten it all in one night. :)
Hudsen had a really cute Halloween performance at her preschool. I will share the video later when I have time to post it. Good job Hudsen! You were awesome.
These are Hudsen and Clarke's pumpkins. Hudsen's pumpkin is supposed to be a cat, but it looks more like a rat to me. :) Ryan helped her with it after about 2 hours of hard work and tooth picking the head back on, they called it quits and didn't get around to putting the eyes on it. :) Hudsen is very proud of it. She thinks it's the greatest.
Our handsome boy and beautiful girl taking pictures with the big pumpkins. Clarke kept kissing the pumpkins and leaving slobber on them it was pretty sick.
Hudsen and Clarke in the hay stack maze. I love how you can just see the top of Clarke's head in this picture.
Two very cute Scare Crows
On the Choo Choo ride
The Kids and I went back to Lombardi Ranch to pick out pumpkins. Ryan couldn't make it with us because they close at sun down and he wouldn't make it in time and we only have a couple days left before Halloween. I can't believe it is almost here. This month flew by. It was fun, we finally got to go on the train ride that Hudsen and Clarke had been dying to go on.
